The morning after:

There is so much going on that I just wanted to serve you as a
reminder, to remember a few key elements necessary to your current
state of existence.

A.Green and Yellow may be cute, but a lovely lavender is also charming
B.Acromynizing schools, careers and boyfriends never solved anything.
Lets keep it real and true and genuinely clever-and in full context.
C.Life, as you know it, is about to begin. Regain your faith in fairy
tales, that includes horses ( in central park) glass slippers ( or
China-town flip-flops) Fairy God Mothers ( or just the fairies on
Christopher Street) Helpful mice ( The Olsen Twins) Evil step-people (
camera stealer's at local Starbucks) and of course a full-time prince
( could be Russian. German. Chinese, ethnicity need not matter)
D. Work is for people who don't know how to love what the do. ! Living
is for people who love what they live and live what they love. You
will stop working and start living.
E. Money is mind over matter. We are all alloted a certain amount,
yours is written, in the stars, in a jar-some where, have faith and
the money will follow. Always.
F. Don't forget colored pens. They liven up your notebook, and will
always give you something to want to go back and read. Remember there
are no old tests, only new challenges, so do your work.
G. New friends are always fun to get to know. Let go of the ones who
pull you down, Grab on to the ones who pull you up- Remember SpiderMan
isn't the only one who can fly.....
H. There are other flavors of tea waiting to be tried. Lets talk Zen,
maybe Calm....
I. No sleep til Brooklyn. Or SoHo. Or the Upper East Side. Hell its
the city that never sleeps. Welcome Insomnia.
J. Vote. Because if you don't, that damn farmer in South Dakota will
show you again, and the! bombs wont end, Bombs over Baghdad and
Bulgaria and Boston ( what? !!?!)
K. Get back to work, a few days left.........

until it all begins.

Welcome to my Happily Ever After :)

Two years later, as I have grown wiser(?) I beg you to consider the following:

You are at the threshold. Pause and Reflect.

A.Its
actually violet. You cannot consider all shades of purple to be
lavender. Its not fair.. Its Violet- similar to Barney the big dinosaur
that ended up in jail because he smoked pot. Great Role Model. No
wonder he stayed in his position so long, he was high.-Can you blame
him, its called job security.

B.Acromynizing schools, careers
and boyfriends never solved anything.- I am reconsidering my position
on this. Acronimyzing life makes it easier to put on myspace, imagine
what your profile would look like with all those extra letters?
Seriously you can add soo much more with acronyms. And no worries about
acronymizing boyfriends-its easy to call them by their full name when
they dont exist

C.Life, as you know it, is about to begin. Regain your faith!
in fairy
tales,
that includes horses (or the 6 train) glass slippers ( PUMAs) Fairy God
Mothers (headhunters) Helpful mice (fellow NYU masters candidates who
dont have any real future aspirations that dont require a $6Mil down
payment) Evil step-people (Stern Folk) and of course a full-time prince
(a Brooklyn native, dj by eve, writer by day and painter by
twilight-named Xzn cuz thats just bloody cool)

D. Work is for
people who arent lucky enough to be born with a twelve letter last name
that live in the Pierre and have a butler and a maid. Work is for
people who wish the former statement upon their children.

E. Money is mind over matter. You'll never have enough. Deal with it.

F.
Don't forget colored pens. Actually screw pens, get a MAC and create
all the colors you want. If all else fails get sharpie minis.

G. New friends are always fun to get to know... Who needs friends when you have brothers :)

H.
There are other f! lavors of tea waiting to be tried. Tea has never
been the same since T
eany closed on weekdays. An iced Darjaleeing Makiabara at the Tea Spot
still makes it worth waking up in the morning. Starbucks.. here we
come.......

I. No sleep til Hoboken? Yeah just doesnt sound right........

J. Vote? Dont bother, you'll get another cowboy in office.

K. Why bother working now, you've spent the past 20 mins reading this!!!

Welcome to my Happily Ever After :)-- Now I wanna hear you version!

Just Breathe..
A. The many shades of purple are merely offsprings of depression (blue) and love/anger (red): 2.75 things that our mighty flags and Barney suits have taught us thus far. It's the love of it all that fuels the anger and sadness (over our losses of lives) to muster up the courage to continue in the midst of student loans and working credit-to-credit.
B. Acronyms are what we live for, essentially. PhD's, MA's, Esq.'s, MD's...if we aren't trying to become one, we sure as hell are trying to marry one. If we had it our way like BK (the eatery AND the borough), then we'd do away with names altogether and resort to symbols. Prince did it and is still hailed as a genius. I'd like to be a treble clef.
C. It's only a fairie tale when you don't believe YOU'RE the fairie. Now's the time to make history so all of the non-fairies in the future can say "Once upon a time..." The time has finally come where we're 98.6% of the person we want to become. Wiser, snarkier, street-smart, stylish, and forever gorgeous. New Jersey gave us the morals to walk the New York streets and be effectively "unaffected." So much for the afterglow. The goal now is to find a man who is 98.6% of himself and wants a woman to complete the 1.4%. It's NEVER about finding your other half, it's about finding the remaining 1.4%. He can wear a suit; as long as it's made by Adidas at night.
D. Work is for people who live for the paycheck. Careers are for people who live for the moment. Passion is for people who love to live. Make a pie chart out of those three factors and you decide how you come up with 98.6%.
E. Happiness and Passion are the real dollars and cents. Use those as your currency and you're never subject to inflation wherever you may roam. It also makes for quite a light wallet. ;)
F. It's only appropriate that the symbol for a MAC is the same symbol for education, the Beatles, and the greatest city in the universe. Keeping that in mind, everyone needs a MAC, a fancy bag to hold it in, and a key clip for their mini-Sharpie.
G. Sometimes new friends can bring you further towards the 98.6%. By the time their adderall wears off, some may not stick around long enough to witness the fruits of their labor. They still made their contribution. Contact your soulmates to frown about it. Other times, new friends can become business partners, confidants, plus-ones, and plus-twos. Contact your soulmates to smile about it. Always make time to bond with your soulmates...they knew you at 65%, and will Insha'Allah know your kids @ 98.6%.
H. Teany, Starbucks, Tea Spot...as long as you're in amazing company, the tea is just a bonus.
I. No sleep til you're tired. Insomniacs leave footprints wherever they may roam. Remember that.
J. Vote for the same reason you donate to the homeless. It's not really going towards something productive, but at least you feel better knowing you tried.
K. It's easier to get back to work, when you're awaiting an email response ;)

..so much for my happy ending.
